My Story

I would like to introduce you to an organization that is a lifeline to hundreds of thousands of people across the world, The Compassionate Friends. When a child dies, at any age, the family suffers intense pain and may feel hopeless and isolated. The Compassionate Friends provides highly personal comfort, hope, and support to every family experiencing the death of a son or a daughter, a brother or a sister, or a grandchild, and helps others better understand how to assist the grieving family.

The Walk to Remember, in its 20th year, is an annual event for bereaved families to remember our precious children who have died, to support one another, and to let other bereaved families know that they are not alone in their grief. Your donation to and support for this event enables The Compassionate Friends to provide local support chapters and online resources to hundreds of thousands of grieving parents, grandparents, and siblings. The Compassionate Friends reaches out to bereaved families with love, understanding, and hope. The children mourned have died at all ages and from many different causes, but it is the love for them that unites us. Please join my campaign by making a generous gift to The Compassionate Friends, spreading the word with your friends and family, and/or creating your own campaign in support of this important mission. We Need Not Walk Alone!
You will be supporting our local Tampa Bay Chapter of Compassionate Friends. We are a 501 (c) 3 Non - profit organization and must raise our own funds as a means to support families that are in great need of support after losing a child.

I would like to introduce you to the Tampa Bay Compassionate Friends.

I lost my son Patrick in 2011 and knew that something I needed was to be around others because I knew they understood. I waited for the required time Compassionate Friends required until I could start my own Tampa Bay Chapter locally for Compassionate Friends.
